Welcome to the last 2 weeks of my journey, it’s not the end it’s just the end of the beginning.
Here is a quick over view of my last 2 weeks and I will do a reflect back over my journey at the end.
Week 7
Activities this week
This week didn’t turn out as I had planned due to one of my cats going missing for a few days. I ended up doing a lot of walking putting up posters and notes through doors. I also did some Yin Yoga and stretching at home; exercise doesn’t have to be about sweat dripping off you. You body needs nurturing and Yoga brings back balance and relaxation; which is definitely what I needed this week! Luckily the weekend ended well with my cat reappearing through the cat flap as if nothing had happened, as they do!!
On my meal plan this week included the following
Tuesday
Breakfast – Branflakes, berries, hazelnut milk and greek yogurt
Lunch – New Protein Meal from Morrisons (see Images)
Tea – Chicken, Mushroom, Onion Sauce and Sweet Potato

This week has been back to normal!
The last 2 Biggest Looser sessions involved a lot of jumping and high impact on the hips/lower back so I decided on a Super Spin class which is always a firm favorite of mine and full body/back stability/strengthening weights session on Thursday.
You might remember at the start of this series I said I got weight and measured as part of my Biggest Looser programme, at the end of Week 8 I got re-measured and weighed. I have lost a total of 16cm across the whole of my body showing me that I have toned up; I have also lost 5 lb in weight. I knew I had lost centimeters off the tops of my legs and stomach area as I could feel the difference in my clothing, I am happy with my progress and the Biggest Looser programme has given me the structure and support to get myself back into my fitness. I have decided not to rejoin this programme or one like it this time; I am concentrating on doing the activities I love like weights, running, spinning and Yoga as I feel I get the most out of these mentally and physically.
The last 2 months have been full of birthdays and anniversaries which have involved treats and meals out. Some weeks have been hard for me; like week 7 which was emotionally draining where as other weeks have been really amazing like week 5 where I could feel my fitness return and I was able to get in lots of extra sessions. As long as you don’t let the hard weeks get you down and remember the feelings of the good weeks, along with finding a balance with what you eat, the activities you do then you are well on your way to achieving your goals. Don’t forget life is for living and enjoying so doing a little bit of something is better then nothing!
I really hope you have found this series informative and inspiring, I know I have enjoyed sharing my journey with you all and it’s not till you write things down and reflect back sometimes that you realise how far you have come.
I will keep you all updated throughout the year of how I am getting on and if there is anything you would like to see us post more of then let me know and I will arrange it.
I hope you all have a Happy and Healthy 2018 and remember it’s the small changes that lead to the big ones!
