Sprout shortage threatens Christmas supply

Prices are up by 50 per cent on the markets while Diamondback Moth issues have led to lower yields and smaller sizes. The outbreak of the pesticide-resistant Diamondback Moth (DBM) over summer devastated many brassica crops, including sprouts, while warm temperatures in the Netherlands affected growing conditions and have sent prices “rocketing”.
